Mine is running strong. I'm using Royal Purple the only synthetic that specifically reports ability to run in our rotaries (that I've found. check the website) Not only is this car amazing, but its a dream car for me. There are some? people that have had issues, but due to the nature of human beings blaming anything but themselves...I can only take the horror stories worth a grain of salt sometimes. I tend to find however that those that point out the good along with the bad seem more believable.

i bid to disagree... i owned a new 04. i read up on it before buying it was my first sports car after graduating from college. i babied it in rotary terms @ least. redlined regularly, no short trips, no synthetic, revving before shutting off, warming engine,? premium, etc... i take care of my things especially if they cost me money. long story short engine started having flooding issues and then apex seals broke. i got a new engine under warranty but i then traded it in for an honda s2000 :).
